Here are some additional pictures of the public hanging which took place a few hours ago in Kerman province.


The man, "Yasser K", was convicted of using using cold weapons such as the stiletto, knife and glass and was breaking into people's homes and stealing; in some cases women were sexually harassed.

He commited eight cases of theft, rape and stabbing. He was tried in criminal court and admitted to all the crimes committed.

Nice smile while being noosed! Maybe he "knows". Too bad about the baggy pants. He has the right attitude for being hanged but we can't see if he has wood for it. That pic with his sandles on must be from when he's just been hoisted. He's not getting into it too much yet. Then it's good to see he's kicked them off!
 
The only thing wrong with Iranian executions is that they don't completly humiliate them by stripping them naked first.

Actually I've never understood why anyone would be wearing any clothes to a firing squad or gas chamber or electric chair and gallows - and I never figured it was "humiliation" to be naked - sort of that "check-me-out" feeling you get when you walk naked through a locker room. I mean if people are turning out to see me executed let them see my ass and balls and cock and pecs - just like some guys would really get off seeing my hang barefooted. I'd probably be like that Iranian dude with the broad smile as the noose was being placed around his neck. Even if you were sort of modest I figure that since you know you'll be snuffed shortly then who cares. I can even imagine a line of nude women grinding their clit from orgasm to orgasm until it's their turn and they're cuffed for their execution. Why do you think being nude would be most humiliating, especially when you know you'll be on your way to another reincarnation anyway?
 
I've noticed that some of you prefer the long drop hanging, some like the short drop from a gallows, some like the shorter drop from a chair, some like being hoisted up like they do in Iran. I've even read that there is a calculation the hangman uses to calculate the length of the drop so the dude's head doesn't get yanked off. Now that I'm getting into hanging it's hot to hear why the preferences - sort of like preferences for methods of beheading (sword, ax, guillotine, knife, etc)

You'll find an example of a Drop-Table at the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Table_of_Drops

The idea of the table is not only so that the dude's head isn't ripped off, but also so that the drop is long enough to break the neck.
 
I hope these are not reposts. I have no information about the hanging, but I do believe that it was this month.
