I agree with you Toptuan. These guy were cowards, hot as some were.
 
Its a lot more complicated than that guys. Some people off themselves to escape their troubles such as criminal does when on the verge of being captured. That's cowardly but cost effective for the tax payers. Other people are suffering real pain from mental illness and depression. They are blinded by this pain and lose hope. They only see one way to end the pain. That's why it's up real friends and family members to recognize the signs of this pain and to get help for these people. Because they can't help themselves.

I also believe that everyone of the age of consent has the right to end their life. But, they are obligate to fulfill their responsibilities first. That means pay your debts and raise your offspring to adulthood. One also has the responsibility to carry out their suicide in a manner that does not endanger others or place a great burden on someone. Suicide should be properly planned and carried out in a private manner. It is wrong to scar the lives of others because of acting on impulse.

Of course if it is for one of us to find, we're already scarred. So, don't worry about it. :)

Everything you mentioned is a temporary, solvable problem. Hence, suicide continues to be INSANITY.

So is rock music, mountain climbing, sky diving and consuming extremely hot peppers, at least from some people's perspective. I think taking away a suicidal person's freedom of choice and locking them in a mental ward hoping they will change their mind is cruel torture. Even when released, they are usually drugged so they don't feel their emotional pain or much of anything. Is that anyway to live?

Valisk - if you have a sick imagination m8 - what about the rest of us here :) - I Love the older pics of hangings too . And yes others did get pleasure from them. I have pic somewhere - of a dead young German soldier - and when they emptied his pockets he had a collection of photos of hanging guys which he carried around with him.
 
And also meant to add - GREAT post DD - Love your collections m8 - and yes I AGREE - that guy does have an erection - Ignore anyone who disagrees - I AM the local expert on bulges!!! I see them everywhere :)
