This body has been (expired) dead for atleast 72 hours by the amount of decomposition and slight bloating of the tissue. the extremities (limbs) that are visible are showing clear signs of plasma (blood) decomposition, the extremities where the lay blood can gather are always one of the first areas to decompose, you can also see clear signs of brain matter decomposition, soft tissues of the body always decompose first, and due to the increased gathered blood pressure caused by the hanging to the head of the body, the head will more likely decompose faster than the rest of the body which would normally decompose faster in more natural deaths, the exposed blue tongue is clear evidence of death by asphyxiation and no signs of death by the neck snapping is evident (a percentage of of death by hanging is caused by the spinal cord/neck area snapping or dislocating causing instant death in most cases)

P.S. in alot of pics where the neck is stretched does not mean that the person died by the distruction of the spinal cord/neck caused by the initial hanging, in alot of cases this is due to the time the body has been hanging and alongside the decomposition of the body that the spinal coloumn would naturaly break/dislocate over time. HOWEVER the amount of struggling of the person prior to dieying can also cause the neck to break and this will be evident by the rope marks on the neck during the autopsy.

a clear indication of if the spinal cord/neck was snapped or not during the hanging is by the height of the hanged body in question, if the body had a high area to fall/hang and the tension is high then there is a high probability of death by spinal/neck injury, however a person who has hung themselves from a height of say a chair under their feet or up to 3.5 feet then the chances of death by neck/spinal injury is unlikely.

The body of an unidentified man hangs from his neck under a bridge on the old Rosarito highway as authorities stand by in Tijuana, Mexico, Friday, Oct. 9, 2009. Authorities found the dead man beaten, naked and castrated, and have not identified him but believe he is Rogelio Sanchez, a Baja California state government official who went missing this week. No suspects were named. The homicide is characteristic of Mexico's brutal drug gangs, which often dump mutilated victims in public places.
