Hey jeb Interesting challenge - can only do a quick effort due to work deadlines. CS5 has a number of features to assist with WM removal - here is the result - as you can see some bits are better than others - sometimes bits are hidden under the WM - and 'best guess' sometimes gets it 'spot-on' - sometimes badly wrong!

I usually end up asking - is the edited pic better without the WM, but with some damage? - or do you live with the WM, and no further damage? Sometimes I like the ourtcome sometimes not!

the photo number 614 page 41 is the hanging of Ditbardh Cuko and Josef Cuko (albania)
Press reports: "two brothers, Ditbardh and Josef Cuko (aged 21 and 24 years), were hanged in a public execution at 2am on 25 June 1992 in the town of Fier in central Albania. The two men were sentenced to death after they were found guilty of the murder of five members of the same family in the course of a robbery in the village of Libofshe early in June 1992".

These are not new - but this posting does gather together in one post my set from this particlar hanging of 5 Russian guys.
For those who collect hanging pics - some points of interest (well to me anyway!!) - in Pic B the guys on the left are at an angle - therefore they are still swinging. Also the cute guy in the middle has his feet crossed in this pic.
In Pic C they are all hanging vertical - and the guy in the middle is now limp - with feet uncrossed. (Yeah - yeah - i know - I am a bit wierd!!)
The single pics are details that appear to be lifted out of the others.
If anyone has any others from this hanging - or a better quality pics, particlary of scene A (waiting to be hanged), I would love to have copies!

Jon, you have a keen sense of observation. I especially like these 5 guys. Their heads are not covered. Their arms and legs are not tied, and best of all, they are wearing their boots. Thank you for these photos.

That's quite good. The dude is hot, and the red-bearded hangman looks interesting as well. The watermarked site is defunct, though, and I have not seen any more pictures from this.

From the 23 Psalm in the Bible
Usually translated "The Lord is my Shepherd - I lack nothing"
Interestingly the original in Hebrew contains the actual personal name of God
And reads something like "YAHWEH is my shepherd - I want for nothing"
Over time the Hebrew letters representing God's name have been replaced by tiltes such as Lord - hence the prayer behind this guy.
