Hey sunray - I have managed to 'lift' them a bit - sadly much information has been lost at pixel level due to low light/sensor sensitivity and compression artefacts...so to lift the exposure meant taking averages on the pixels to reduce the artefacts..so as always...some gains some losses...anyway here are the re-exposed and 'adjusted' pics

Looks like maybe the knot just tore his ear up or he bled from the ear for some reason.
