STUNNING additions

For personal interest I ran this one through Adobe de-blurring - then tweaked the mid-range contrast - This combination can be a bit fierce, and produce noise or blockiness..and the final result is blocky!! BUT..have a look at the guys pants/crotch...and while the result might be due to PS being too aggressive - the result is interesting - !!!

Love the Iranians implementation and execution of public hangings, very efficient cost control technique.

eg, Got a public hanging tomorrow in town A and a public hanging in town B next day, why spend all the money building stuff when you use a truck as a public announcement platform and a crane as a hanging platform pack it up and transport it to the next town.

For those countries who support executions should they implement these cost control measures ?

The number of Iranians hanged in what appear to be their street clothes makes me thing they don't fuck around. Justice (or not) must be swift. If you rape someone and are accused, it appears that you are quickly tried and then taken out and hanged. At least you don't have a lot of time to think about it or have to rot in some prison cell for years. Even if you're being screwed over, what are the chances of being acquitted and eventually released? I'd say pretty slim.

Quite a few people would tell you they would rather be executed than rot in prison. The way we do it it takes forever with appeals and whatnot. By the time our death row guys or lifers spend a little time in the clink, they become institutionalized. They get to not mind sitting around reading or watching tv all day not so much and dying doesn't seem like such a great idea. Still, they aren't really living. Had you hanged them a few days or weeks after arrest, at least it would save a whole bunch of money.

I've actually talked to guys that said if they ever became incapacitated in any way, "take me out and shoot me in the head!" Same principal. Some of the guys that say that now will end up in some home, having someone wipe their ass for them. Not me. I actually have a living will that prevents a lot of that. In many scenarios, I'll hang myself when the time comes.

Hi DD, I'm afraid this is not a "New" hanging. I was suspicious when I saw my copy was last amended in March 2013. I did some research and discovered the following from November 2012.

HRANA News Agency – Three young men convicted of kidnapping and rape, were publicly hanged in Arak, Iran on Wednesday, 14 November 2012.
