I saw him applying something on cable and neck. Is that olive oil for lubrication?

I have to say that is the most heart-pounding hanging I have ever seen. Maybe because it was a suicide and not an execution. The bloke went to it eyes wide open....I would have masturbated until orgasm, then tighten the noose. If your last action you take in this life is to take your life, why not make the most of it ?
 
Very brave guy. Sadly he is just one case that we see but young man hang themselves every day around the world. Just this year four young fit healthy strong and cute guys hanged themselves in my area. I have posted threads about them.
 
Nothing brave about this. Suicide is an escape from reality. A coward's way out, or an insane person's short-sighted solution to life's challenges.

I sympathize deeply with this young man, but in no way feel suicide should be glorified by calling the act "brave." Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. That makes it an illogical act as well.

Despite the harsh realities of what suicide is, my condolences to this guy's family and friends who have to deal with the tragic and traumatic fall-out. Not unusual for parents to eventually break up after the suicide of an offspring. The ones who remain behind get the worse end of the deal. While the deceased is relieved of their pain, the pain goes on for those left.

In my lifetime, I've counseled dozens of suicidal teens. The last thing I wanted to do was to label the act "brave." It just might have become the tipping point for them to carry out their self-destructive fantasy, and would have been an absolutely reckless move on my part.

Suicide means different things to different people. Many people choose to condemn it based on religious beliefs and little else. For teenagers, it is often an impulsive response to a temporary problem. But, how hard is it for teen to find mental health care? Treatment facilities may put on a face of concern, and compassion. But, they exist to make money. If you don't have it, you're probably not going to get quality care. Sometimes, the humiliation just makes the problem worse.

For many people suffering from chronic pain and/or mental illness, suicide may be the only solution. Modern medicine has it's limitations and it's still a matter of money. Bravery is a matter of perspective just as cowardice is. The gentleman in the video appears to have been in a troubled state of mind for some time. This may have been the only option he could find. I know where I live, mental health care is a crap shoot even if you have insurance and I live in the USA (with the high tech medicine and flying cars.)

This man's last minutes may have been his bravest. But, the video should also be seen as cry for help for the millions of people who are still suffering.
 
He was a very brave young man. Most guys would piss themselves just at the idea of being hanged. It is absolutely not easy to hang yourself especially in the position he did it, kneeling basically.

It hurt him like hell and it took at least 2 minites for his brain to become starved of oxygen and pass out.

Horrible death.

I am not saying suicide is a good thing but definately takes courage to do it.

He also told them that he had Asperger syndrome and High-functioning autism, and was emotionally vulnerable and lacked normal social skills. He admitted to feeling lonely, and alluded to experiencing problems at school, but admitted that he had a good upbringing and had a rather good life. At around the same time, he also updated his Facebook status to say life was "just too difficult", and that he was going to kill himself.

Of course he wanted everyone to see it. He set up the camera to view him and to automatically upload the photos. Then he gave out the password for everyone to access them! What do you mean we will never know?

I could not tell due to speed of video how fast the movements were. I know he said how many uploads he had camera set for but anyway, i really like he was not "by himself" like so many are doing this. So many were watching while he was doing it. and still are. I personally think he is nice guy. I believe we could have been friends as much as guys like us can be.
