23-year-old Mercy Gundran suffered from miscarriage when she was 6 months pregnant. Later on, she got a high fever. In relation to that, her blood became infected known as sepsis. Because of that, she had water in her brain, which is not directly related to hydrocephalus, that resulted in her death on or before February 9, 2016. She was buried on or before February 22, 2016.

Christina Faelnar died naturally on April 9, 2017. She was buried on April 18, 2017.

"At dawn this Thursday (29) [29th December 2016], the city of Barro Preto was marked by panic. Four hooded men shot dead a 27-year-old, identified as Lourdes Soares Batista. According to information, the woman who was a resident of Bananeira in Itabuna, had recently moved to a community center in the city of Barro Preto. Still according to information, the men arrived, and asked for the name of the young woman who according to relatives was a drug user and was due to the traffic. Witnesses said that in order not to die, Lourdes hid under a bed where she was hunted by the criminals who fired several gunshots at the victim."
