Keep in mind there have been thousands of government-sanctioned murders of drug dealers and users in the Philippines since Duerte became president. He is a lawless thug - an egomaniacal bully with zero respect for law. (hmm.. something to think about before we elect our own egomaniacal bully who brags that "I alone" can restore "law and "order" and exhorts his followers to violence.)

Woman raped, dumped in bush

An odd find early morning yesterday shocked the city residents when it turned out to be a body of a rape victim dumped in the bush several meters from the roadside along B. Inting St. Extension near the TESDA building in barangay Cogon.

Police Senior Inspector Jacinto Mandal Jr., chief of the crime investigation section of Tagbiilaran City Police station, said the victim’s first cousin identifed her as Rodalyn Gamba, a 20-year-old a student of the University of Bohol taking up Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Mandal further said the victim hailed from barangay Banderahan, Valencia, but was staying in a boarding house at Espuelas St., this city.

The City Tactical Operation Center (CTOC) of the city police station received a telephone call at around 6:06 a.m. yesterday from a concerned citizen, informing that a dead person was found along the grassland at B. Inting St. extension.

A team from the city police, led by Mandal and the officer of the day–Police Senior Inspector Albert Quilitorio, together with the duty criminal investigator PO1 Jess Francis Monton, Quick Reaction Team personnel and intelligence operatives proceeded to the area to verify the information.

Onlookers already crowded the area when the police team arrived.

The police team found the victim’s body covered with pieces of trash in the secluded area.

At first, nobody in the crowd identified her and was only described as having fair complexion, a mole at the forehead, long black hair up to the waistline, wearing a blouse with floral print and blue maong pedal pants.

Investigators estimated the victim’s height to range from four feet and eight inches to four feet and 10 inches.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) from the Bohol Police Provincial Office of Camp Dagohoy arrived at around 7:40 a.m.

The SOCO recovered a pair of panties from the left pocket of the victim’s maong pedal pants.

Based on the post-mortem examinations conducted by Dr. Teomin Casano of City Health Office, the victim died from a stab wound on the left side of the neck and another stab wound on the upper left portion of the forehead.

Based on the initial investigation conducted at the crime scene, a certain Rex Limbaga—also known as Rica, a 33-year-old beautician residing at Sitio Karaw-an in barangay Dampas, this city–was the one who first saw the victim’s body.

Limbaga told the police that at around 6:00 a.m. near the area, he met a guy with height of five feet, clad in green t-shirt, maong cargo shorts and jogging shoes, and with barber-type hairdo.

They agreed to engage in an intimate act for P50 at the vacant lot nearby.

Limbaga said that after their activity and after the man received the P50, the latter proceeded to the roadside where he boarded a tricycle.

Limbaga said he remained at the area for personal necessity and just then he saw the foot of the woman lying on the ground, covered with trash.

It prompted him to seek for police assistance.

Further examination of the body showed that the victim was raped and the laceration was still fresh when she was found.

Nagtamo ng tama sa ulo ang biktima na kinilalang si Maricel Duran 31 anyos at Tubong Alitagtag Batangas.

Sa initial na imbestigasyon ng Cabuyao Police nag-aabang ng jeepney ang biktima pauwi ng bigla na lang lapitan sa likuran ng nakabonet na suspect at saka pinaputukan sa ulo.

Ayon pa sa imbestigasyon posible umanong may kinalaman sa trabaho ang motibo ng pagpatay matapos umanong tanggalin sa trabaho ang ilang empleyado.

Pinagaaralan na rin ang mga kuha ng cctv malapit sa lugar upang makatulong sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon laban sa dalawang suspect.

An HR personnel from a company in Cabuyao, Laguna was shot dead by the unidentified suspects

A Human Resource Personnel from Triple J Warehouse was killed after being shot by the unidentified suspect at around 7:00 PM last night along National Highway, Brgy. Banay-Banay, Cabuyao, Laguna.

The victim who was identified as Maricel Duran, 31 years old from Alitagtag, Batangas, sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

According to the initial investigation by Cabuyao Police, the victim was awaiting for a jeepney to go home when a hoody suspect approached behind her and shot her in her head.

According to the investigation, the motive for the killing is possibly job-related after laying off several employees.

The CCTV footage is being reviewed near the place to help the ongoing investigation against the two suspects.

Kinilala ni Sr. Insp.Joey de Ocampo, hepe ng Manila Police District-Homicide Section ang biktima na si Lirong Yang, 27, may-asawa, bussinesswoman, tubong Fujian, China at nanunuluyan sa 8-DCPC Bldg. 686 Sta.Elena St., Binondo, Maynila.

Sinigawan ni Terceno ang mga suspek kaya mabilis na pinatakbo ang kanilang kuliglig at iniwan ang biktimang naghihingalo.

Hindi na nagawang maitakbo ni Terceno ang biktima sa pagamutan dahil namatay na rin ito makalipas lamang ng ilang minuto.

Narekober naman sa crime scene ang ginamit na patalim sa biktima .

Dinala ang bangkay ng biktima sa Cruz Funeral Parlor habang patuloy ang imbestogasyon ng pulisya sa kaso.

Chinese, robbed and slashed

A female Chinese national was repeatedly slashed to her neck after being robbed by two unidentified suspects while riding in a kuliglig in Binondo, Manila, [Philippines] last night, [July 30, 2012].

Senior Inspector Joey de Ocampo, chief of Manila Police District-Homicide Section, identified the victim as Yang Lirong, 27, married, businesswoman, native of Fujian, China, and resided at 8-DCPC Building, 686 Santa Elena St., Binondo, Manila.

According to the report by PO3 Rodel Benitez, investigator, the incident occurred at around 11:15 PM last night along Muelle del Binondo, near San Nicolas streets, of the said place.

The victim rode in kuliglig (tricycle) first to visit her friend at Chinatown Steel Tower which is located at Asuncion St., Binondo.

Upon reaching along Muelle del Binondo near Nicolas St., the driver and his partners stopped their kuliglig at a vacant lot which is covered with two parked vehicles.

That is where they started to rob the victim while aiming her with the sharp object.

But, the suspects were not contented, and they slashed the victim's neck and left her on a cemented road.

Security guard on-duty Arnold Terceno was several meters away from the place of incident when he noticed the confrontation.

Terceno yelled at the suspects, so they immediately escaped with the kuliglig and the victim was left dying.

Terceno was not able to rushed her to the hospital because she died after several minutes.

The sharp object that was used to kill the victim was recovered from the crime scene.

The victim was brought to Cruz Funeral Parlor while the police investigation is ongoing regarding the case.
