Ex senior party official was sentenced to death last month after being convicted of ordering his nephew, a police officer, to arrange a traffic accident to get rid of his mistress, whom had made a video of them together and was extorting him to marry her.
His nephew, with a garage manager, planted explosives and set off the blast by remote control on July 9 as the victim was driving through a busy district.
It said the explosion killed the victim on the spot, caused minor injuries to two passers-by and damaged two cars. 'It was extremely cruel and had a great negative impact on society,' the court had declared.
