Body of a 25 year old woman was discovered in the street wrapped in plastic.

There was a rope tied around her neck, but the coroner said that she was definitely alive when they tied the bag around her head, so the cause of death could have been suffocation or strangulation. In either case, she definitely died from lack of air.

Police said it was gang related.



21st August 2016, Kampot, Cambodia - The body of a 24 year old Australian national was found submerged in a creek nearby the lodging house where she had been staying. The woman had previously been backpacking around Thailand, and had only been in Cambodia for about a week. The cause of death determined at the scene was drowning, but the body was to be transferred to a local hospital for further investigations, and involvement with the Embassy
