Hmmm...I thought adding a post to this old thread would bump it up the General Discussion list again, but looks like it didn't. Let's see if this one does it.
I had a friend whose friend sold a house in Akron, OH about 10 years ago to a couple. Supposedly, that was the site of one of DSM's earliest crime. I did wonder who would buy such a house, assuming they were "normal". Serial killers or killing does not interest me. It just looks too much to dispose bodies.
There is at least one more sketch that was published with "Killing for Company" which depicts just the lower half of the victim....
Looking at the gay rights record in the UK at the time (or lack of it) the police didn't really care if gay people were getting killed or not as long as you didn't clog up drains with the remains. There were at least 7 survivors of Nilsen's attacks who either didn't report it as they were afraid of the police or who did report it and were never taken seriously...
And Denis Neilson, who strangled young guys, then undressed them, celaned them up (most of them needed it!) - and drew stketches of them, dead and sometimes in their soiled underwear.
