Thank you Deadsoldier. This tears my heart. When I was a little boy(1944), my mother told me about a neighbor who tried to convince her son not to join the USMC. He did anyway and 6 months later he was killed in action. My question is-Why does a young man go into a self sacrifice situation? Could it be raging hormones within his precious body? How many more men continue to join the USMC and die? I can't answer why, having put myself on the line. No hero I. If there is a special place in heaven for marines, I hope to get in.
