ST-PETERSBURG - Murmansk Police arrested a Russian man suspected of killing and eating a man he met on a gay website, said Monday the Regional Committee of Inquiry.
The suspect 21 year old said he had met his victim, 32, via an electronic site for gay dating, said the press service of the Investigation Committee.
On 19 August, he invited him home, had stabbed and cut into pieces to eat it. During a week he has cooked his remains, making steaks, and sausage patties, said the Committee.
"The only motive for the killing was her desire to taste human flesh," added Fyodor Blioudionov, head of the Regional Committee of Inquiry, quoted by the agency Ria Novosti.
The cannibal has sought its victim within the homosexual community because they are people "reserved, who prefer not to show their contacts," said Mr. Blioudionov.
The cannibal had been able to "bring home even a dozen people," he said.
