the guy that gets eaten was my roommate in college. his name is paul saterfield at San Diego State. he did loads of tv in the late 80's and early 90s
 
I'd like to see a remake. In the remake some gay psycho lures other gay guys to the lake to skinny dip, feeding the blob, which is also gay, maybe it rapes them first somehow. Maybe it drags them to the lake floor and somehow funnels air down to them to keep them alive for a couple days for a slow digestion. No?
