Deutschland den Deutschen! Ausländer raus!

As far as I know, it's called "Rondo alla Zingarese". I don't know if it has any other german name.

The reason UK's gypsies get such a raw deal has a lot to do with the fact that they don't like to be on the roads in midwinter, so they set up 'travellers' camps' and live there till the weather gets better, then take to the roads again but don't dismantle the camps, because they intend to return to them the following winter. And where do they like to set up these camps? In the rural south, where the climate is milder and there's very little urban spawl, and they still have a sense that they're out in the open countryside and not boxed in. The trouble is, the liberal élite like to live in the rural south themselves, and they object to seeing squatters' camps from their back gardens, so from time to time they persuade the local councils to send in the bulldozers! They are such hypocrites! If the country's muslims ever decided to leave the industrial heartlands of the midlands and the north and settle in the towns and villages south and west of the Thames valley, or move out of south London into the leafy borough of Kensington where the liberal mps have their second homes, then there'd be a drastic overhaul of the 'multi-cultural society'!

Interesting discussion. Sounds like political correctness gone bonkers! :banghead:

We don't use the term "gypsies" in the USA much anymore. It was used more often in the past than now. I remember hearing as a kid "BEWARE ... the gypsies are in the area !!" which meant LOOK OUT for your billfold/purse and any SCAM/CON artists.

Today in the USA gypsies are most associated with traveling circuses and carnivals. There folk are particulary prevalent in the late summer months at COUNTY FAIRS and STATE FAIRS in the northern climates of the USA in late July and August. They are the persons who manage and run all the carnival rides like the MERRY-GO-ROUND, TILT-A-WHIRL, FERRIS WHEEL, ROLLER COASTERS and all kinds of GAMES of CHANCE.

These "carnies" (as they are called) are often a most charismatic and charming lot, BARKING their RIDES or GAMES of CHANCE, complimenting and INSULTING the crowds to put down $$$ and give their gig a try. They are a most slick and cunning lot, most conniving and flattering, funny and amusing only to then become very crude and VILE. Seldom does ANYONE win their GAMES of CHANCE, they are ALL RIGGED!

As for the rides, they can be a lot of fun but if a carnie doesn't like you, he can MAKE your SEAT or CAGE on the ride TWIRL and TWIST more often than is good, hoping you will BARF your GUTS OUT.

PICKPOCKETS also work in tandem with these carnies, so while you are engaged in the GAME of CHANCE an apparent person just standing in line behind you for their next turn will STEAL your valuables RIGHT out of your POCKETS. Or they will have "plants" in the crowd to buy tickets for their GAMES of CHANCE and CARNIVAL RIDES all as a ploy to get the public there to do likewise to make lots of $$$$.

Many Americans FLOCK to these carnivals to see if they can be had. And many are tricked and conned .. but by the time these foolish Americans REALIZE what has happened, the carnies have MOVED ON to another VILLAGE or CITY or STATE to commit the same CONS over and over again !! AND they get a HOOT out of it, laughing late into the early morning while big-time partying.

So this is what has become of the gypsies today in America. NOT ALL carnies are fleeing crooks and venal but MANY ARE. And then we have the NEXT of KIN to the carnies (gypsies) in the USA ....

THEY are called POLITICIANS, many to be found in City Halls, State Houses .. and in the chambers of the U S CONGRESS.

Cher's first solo hit was 'Gypsys, Tramps and Thieves' released in 1971. That was about the Carnies and the double-standards they faced.

Thousands of German Gypsies died in Hitler's death camps along with the Jews. Who cries for THEM?

Hundreds of thousands of Russian pows were murdered too, some of them in a Totd Camp in the Channel Islands. When the Islanders erected a memorial to these men, they asked the Russian Ambassador whether he would like to unveil it. He replied that he was deeply touched and would be delighted to do so. They also invited Margaret Thatcher to attend the ceremony, but she made it clear that it was a matter of complete indifference to her.

Finally, what about the gays who were sent to the death camps, made to wear pink stars, despised and spat upon not just by their executioners but by a disturbingly large number of their fellow-victims too? Where's their Holocaust Memorial, eh? Where's THEIR fucking Holocaust Memorial?

This thread started out funny, with that guy ranting about Meatpie, but then it became much too serious for my lazy brain. Nonetheless, I did read enough of the 85 replies to come to the (highly counterintuitive) conclusion that quite a few intellegent people belong to CDG!

Verlup1 speaks sense!

who? what? where? We used to eat Gypsy Tart at school!

In fact a lot of baker's shops still sell them locally!

Seems like calling people racist is something you can't escape no matter what website you are on. I don't think people understand that almost everyone will be a little racist. Why? Because we aren't blind and we know what we like. I myself would not treat someone worse because of skin color, but I would rather be close friend with someone white, Asian or Arabic. Preferably white or Asian. Why? Because that's what I like. For me someone black or south-american would be a turn-off. It's a preference issue that plays out in who I want to share my secrets with and who I want to be in a relationship with.

I agree with you. When American whites get called 'honkey' by the blacks and get attacked if they stray into black ghettos, it's in retaliation for centuries of oppression and slavery. When Muslims groom white girls for sex, they tend to do it for financial reasons, not racist ones. In fact full-blown racism doesn't seem to exist in most Islamic societies. Look at all the black Muslims in Saudi and across North Africa. When the Libyan rebels beat up Gadaffi's black mercenaries it was because they were fighting for him, not because they were black. The Turks, Syrians and Iranians attack the Kurds because they're separatists, not because they're Kurds. And when Mugabe persecutes the white farmers, well it's pay-back time, isn't it? No - racism is essentially a white phenomenon. It's Robbie who got it wrong, and he was extremely offensive in the process. Verlup1 was talking absolute sense.

@deaddirty

You might notice I've changed my opinion quite substantially over the last three weeks. Comments made about racism by Verlup, SirUri, Arrowman, and to some extent Meatpie and even Remo himself, have made me realise that some of my views were based on ignorance...

hat's good - congrats on being open-minded, and able to change your mind and admit it!

For me it's Oriental men who are a turn-off. I don't have any racial or cultural issues with them, I simply don't, personally, like the look of them. I think your philosophy is a good one to live by. Norwegians have bitter first-hand experience of where religious hatred can lead. The massacre of innocent teenagers on Utoya Island was terrible almost beyond belief, but the ultra right-wing nationalists here reacted by hailing Anders Breivik as a hero. I'm a nationalist too, but they weren't speaking for me, Kael. Heroes don't kill kids. Anders Breivik was a monstrosity.

Well Norway is a quite different country from the UK, since it's larger than the UK, but our population is only 5 million. We are quite nationalistic, but we are not used to fanaticism. What happened at Utøya was first time something like that have ever happened in Norway. He ended up ruining more for those he supported than those he opposed though. The media was annoying though. They had nothing else on the TV than news and debates about the massacre for more than two weeks. That was a bit over the top.

As a nation have you managed to put the Second World War behind you? We haven't...
