"Psyched" is a jaded look at the idea of the film remake. An overeager film student interviews a gay porn director and the cast and crew of his latest project, “Psyched,” a homoerotic remake of the shower scene in Hitchcock’s Psycho. Psyched plays off the technique of Hitchcock’s film, with clever dialogue reverences, visuals, and an opening title sequence all reminiscent of Psycho’s jarring style. Psyched also features original music inspired by the classic Bernard Herrmann score.
