MARIA AURORA, Aurora – Police are readying criminal charges against three suspected necrophiles who reportedly dug up the body of 15-year-old Jay Molina at the public cemetery and raped her near her grave.
The crime so enraged residents here that the police is doing its best to present a strong case against the suspects — Rey Mark Regero, John Doe and one Peter Doe — who committed the crime in February.
The suspects are at large.
Reports said the three dug up the body of Molina who was killed by a speeding motorcycle on February 3. The girl was reportedly a looker and had many suitors when she was still alive.
The girl’s father filed a complaint before the police when he discovered the crime. Reports said the girl had been buried for more than a week and was starting to rot when dug up and violated by the suspects.
The police filed charges of desecration of the dead and malicious mischief before the provincial prosecutor’s office in Baler against the suspects
A cemetery worker who will be presented as a witness in the case said he saw the three suspects roaming around the cemetery on February 18,19 and 20. He said they were looking at the row of tombs as if searching for something. Another witness said she saw Regero hitting the girl’s tomb with a rock.
Dr. Roman Balangue, municipal health officer of Maria Aurora, Aurora, confirmed that the corpse was raped.
