Has anyone here ever given a nod to Alfred Hitchcock's Rope? Two gay dudes murder a friend, by strangulation, then place his body in a chest. Then they throw a party, the guests of which are mutual acquaintences of them and the corpse, serving the food off of the very chest. Just so wicked and sinister and, although it's depicted in the restrained fashion of the time, I get boned thinking about that stud in the initial stages of decomposition in the center of all that non-sensical life that's going on! Talk about a movie they SHOULD rip off (not remake) and copy in a ramped-up NC-17 presentation.

Yeah definitely a film ahead of its time. Very hot scenario. I love all his films that he directed in the 50s.

Here is some of that Hitchcock magic

Another interesting thing about this film from The Master: He wanted to see if he could make a film without a cut. He still had to change reels, because each only had enough film for about 10 minutes or so. So he would pan into some object, switch reels, then out again. No cuts.
