At first yes, in the long run, not really.

I think would be happier with more money,I would not have to worry so much about finding a decent place to live, and would be able to actually go on vacations and get the kinda pets I want. It's not that I care about being rich,I just don't want to be poor.
Trying to find and afford a place to live is being hell on me,and have to constantly move,I cant afford a car either. It won't make it perfect but it would definitely better. I don't care about true happiness anyways, because I am uncapable of such.

hate to sound shallow but, FUCK YEAH!

there are many things more important than money, but... they are so expensive!

I think this question has a lot to do with Maslow's hierchy of needs. Maslow postulated that humans have certain biological and psychological needs and that if those needs are not met, humans will never be happy. At the very bottom of the hierchy of needs you have things like food, water, employment, shelter and safety which are things that only can be obtained when you have money.
I think money cannot buy happiness, but it can provide the stability for you to get things that might make you happy. Money gives you the sensation of safety because u dont have to worry about if you are gonna have food at the table or if u are gonna have money to pay your medical bills should you get sick.
I think this is the worst problem in our world. We are being forced to fight for the very basuc needs of life and then we have no time to really go after things that might make you happy. As a result, you have a population overworked, stressed and incredibly bored.
There is actually empirical research that shows that there is a positive coorelation between money and happiness, but that correlation becomes neutral after you have enough money to have a relatevelly confortable life.

And increasingly greedy if I may add.

People always want more - bigger houses, swimming pools, faster cars - it's human nature.

My parents recently bought land adjecent to one of our houses with cherry trees and oh we were the envy of the neighbours! They couldn't take it, especially wifey of neighbour stud and they went on and bought land next to their house......where they build a swimming pool.

Now my mom envies them and wants a swimming pool too.

I could go on and on, tragedy is the entire neighbourhood is like that.
