Couldn't pay me to leave the house on Black Friday. My boyfriend had to be up at 11 PM so he could work 12 am to 12 pm, which is doubly idiotic because its been a bust three years in a row around here.

I'd wait in line to get a grope or two or seven on Mr.Meatpie, though.

black friday is totally overrated bullshit, the stores are too crowded, the store specials are too confusing and i end up giving up and paying more anyway or just leaving or not going at all. fuck all these messages to spend on material bullshit. fuck the man i refuse to be a slave to the system any more than i already am

Except for the 1 or 2 doorbuster deals, most of the deals you can get any time of the year anyways. I stayed home sipped on some coffee, and browsed for CDG's on here all day. LOL :forum with coffe:

I'm like Gore, I stayed home and politely declined to participate in Black Friday. As for me, economics and frugality demand that all of the gifts I give this year will either be cool stuff found at flea markets or garage sales, homemade stuff (trying my hand at quilting... how girly), or a full gut and remodel on my mom's spare bathroom (how manly). Is anyone else planning a reduce, reuse and recycle Christmas, or will it be the latest fun gadgets and wanton, hedonistic consumerism? Just curious, because both have their merits. Either way, I'm sure it's going to be a great holiday for me as I'm spending it with family that I truly love and treasure whom I don't get to see that often. Cheers!

I shopped at Walmart for regular stuff like groceries, it wasn't crazy because I went in the afternoon after all the crowds bought everything up and left. I'm going to make gifts for friends and family too but I might buy myself some stuff like maybe a large tv.
