That is definitely not a top-of-the-line casket, and more people should see the wisdom of economizing the way this young man's family did. You don't see plain wooden coffins at funerals much any more in the U.S. They are available, but you really have to insist on having one. The undertaker is not going to mention them first. He, of course, wants to sell you some mahogany or titanium behemoth. Those caskets are indeed beautiful, but why spend such huge sums of money on a box you are going to immediately bury?
