Saying the Lord's Prayer three times a day will allow God to work His graces in your heart and soul. You'll have contentment and peace of mind.

Let us pray:
Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
Hollowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day,
Our daily bread.
And forgive us our tresspasses,
As we forgive those who tresspass against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
And deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Do you think posting the same platitude on different threads would make your god more visible to all of us? You are taking too much bandwidth that could be used to post CDGs.

Think he needs to go back to Sunday School Mx'y, quite apart from his atrocious grammar and spelling, he doesn't even know the Lord's Prayer in it's entirety! But at least he tries, bless his sweetie diddum little cotton socks!

Contrary to popular misconception-Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, was never part of the Lord's prayer. That came about the time Luther broke away from Rome in the early 16th century.

Prior to that time, the church basically has said the prayer as stated above. I look forward to conversing with you more.

God bless!

The advice given by our fellow CDG member is misleading. Just prior to the example prayer given by Jesus - he said not to be like the hypocrites who prayed the same things over and over and in public - prayer was to be private and NOT repeated (eg three times daily) - as our member has suggested. Jesus example prayer was of the kinds of meaningful things we might wish to pray about - in private. The context of Bible verses is important.

New American Standard Bible (1995) Matthew 6:7
"And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words"

Our member is also incorrect about the dating of the "doxology" at the end of the prayer - it is found in some texts dated considerably before the lutheran period.

Perhaps we should suggest that our member follows Jesus advce and keep his prayers private, and being a fellow member of CDG - perhaps we should request he posts some pictures of Cute Dead Guys instead - presumably why he joined us??

Yeah, you could maybe start by posting some pics of that Jesus dude with a knife in his belly, he was a cutie!

I wonder why this guy haven´t been banned.

Everyone here denounces Christ, then tries to act as an authority on him. The shame is not on me nor the one who has sent me. The sin and guilt of that sin is soley on those who reject Christ.

He personally taught prayer to be both private and public. As when one adores God in public worship, one is doing so in prayer.

All of you are in error because you live in darkness. You chose not the light of the Lord. By your own words and actions have you judged yourselves unworthy, I have not judged anyone.

Hey m8 - No need to get in a 'snit' and make sweeping statements about everyone just because I pointed out your errors. I was not denouncing Christ - just you. Your post about the 'Lord's Prayer' was ' out-of-context', innacurate and misleading. When people promote Jesus I expect John 8:31-32 to apply. (ie if you are a desciple you will stick to his word - you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free (CONTEXT = free from religious lies and incorrect teachings)). You should therefore not take offense when someone corrects you - as you would surely wish to 'remain' or stick to Jesus teachings (the truth) - and not just your own innacurate 'out-of-context' version.

When you joined CDG - you agreed to stick to the rules of the forum. These include clear guidance on what you can post and where you can post it. Please stick to these rules.

This site is not a prayer forum - it has a clear theme - Cute Dead Guys - Please enjoy our site for what it is m8 - we have a huge archive and multiple groups which cater for many tastes and interests within the CDG theme. Use 'Google' and you will find other sites which will cater for your religious interests and aspirations - but that should not be here.

So what's with all the horny GROUPS you have joined here at CDG??? FROM your PROFILE PAGE:
