On January 1, Sandra Silva Lira (33) was killed in a hit-and-run while walking home as she was returning from a New Year's Eve celebration at a local exhibition park. The driver stated the accident occurred around 5:20 AM as he was also returning from the festivities with his girlfriend and a brother.



On January 14, in Parauapebas, Brazil, Rosilene (38) was stabbed to death in her home by her ex-partner, Mateus Pereira Rodrigues. The victim's young daughter witnessed the crime. Rodrigues was arrested about two hours later

On the morning of February 14, 2024, in Dong Nai province, Vietnam, 23-year-old Tran Kim Ngan jumped into a river and drowned. Passersby subsequently retrieved her from the water and attempted rescue, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
