Meatpie - we should delete this one! Just we do occasionally delete threads that give perosol info about someone else without consent. It was posted withiout Killerluke's knowledge or consent (presumably), and makes a dreadful allegation against him which is showing up on Google and could cause him problems. I know it was posted in good faith, but it's clearly wrong - delete it!

This is all in your head, I apologized and killerluke replied in the thread.

Everything we post goes directly to search engines - this is true and everyone is responsible for what they post.

We don't delete/edit/censor posts on request by users.
 
Meat - this is an exception to the rule. This could really hurt this guy. If you were the one mislabeled, I know you'd edit/censor/delete this immediately. You posted this thread initially, you need to take responsibility and do the right thing. Please.

I've been confronted many times on this same website and never deleted comments even though I not always like what people post/say.

You have to learn to do the same - you can't control the internet.

Could it hurt him? Possibly. Only he can say how, I don't know how 'out' he is with those around him in real life. But he did ask, and one of the reasons I like this site is that it is safe. Now I am not sure if that is true. Yeah, we have to watch what we post, but he didn't make the post, you did. I am comfortable with me, and what I post, and I know my limits, but give the guy a break. YOU posted that he may be Luka aka Cannibal Killer, WE know now he isn't, but others outside the community may not care. Weigh the pros and cons. That is my 2 cents. BUT--- it is your call. I respect that. :smile:

Dear Meat: Please, there's more common sense in the above than you may want to credit them. PLZ remember there are organizations that could be watching. Any body outside the group who draws the same conclusion could create a real shit storm. I admit, I had a passing wave of concern, but assumed if he was here, the storm would already have happened as he was caught in ab internet cafe. I think you must have had the same thoughts.

I hate censorship, especially in regards to this site. People have sometimes said things in the heat of the moment that they later regret and want it removed. I always say, "Too bad, you shouldn't have said it then." However, this is a different case here. I agree that this could indeed harm him beyond this site. Do people on CDG know it wasn't him? Yes, now they do. If it was just a matter of this site and this site alone, I would say leave it, have a good laugh and move on. But this goes bigger than that. He did not post this, he wasn't even involved in the thread. An accusation was made and I don't think he has any ill will toward you for making it. Many times people are accused of rape in this country. It makes the papers and the news. The accused goes to court and is found not guilty. They could get a video of the real rape depicting the real criminal and a confession. But you know what? That innocent person will forever be branded with that. People will still look at them and think, "What if? Maybe the police where right and he DID commit the crime." You hear stories all the time about innocent people that have to move and start over, or worse kill themselves because they can never escape it. So yes, this can hurt this guy. You would not be sacrificing your pride or your morals by removing this one thread. Just about everyone, long, long time members like Jmsidious even agree that this is one case where the thread should be deleted.

I agree with Bindiboi. Normally we don't delete threads. But since this thread was srarted wihout killerluks's knowldge or consent (presumably), starts with a pretty awful allegation about him, and he has asked for it tobe deleted, we should do that. OK, it was started in good faith, and if you follow it trhough it becms very clear that killerluke isn't Luka - but he's asked for it to be delted, so do the decent thing and delate it!
 
When this thread gets 1,000 replies I will consider if for deletion. :stroke:
