Some were shocked when they saw this pic of a gay Marine rushing into the arms of his boyfriend for a huge bear-hug and a kiss - planted squarely on the lips of his partner - and in front of the camera -after returning from a tour of duty.

Despite the relaxing of the no-gays-in-our-army rule in some countries; prejudice remains. Why do some think a man's sexuality makes him a worse (or better) soldier? IMO its down to prejudice and fear. Personally - I was so happy to see this photo. Well done that Marine!! - And that is REAL courage!!

I couldn't agree more, Jon! :agreed::agreed::agreed::agreed::agreed::agreed::agreed:.

As I'm sure most forum members will also agree with: male-male love (and female-female too!) is an enrichment for humanity, the opposite of something to shun or suppress. I hope more masculine role models will kiss other men in public. I'm trying to contribute in my own small way: I kiss male family members (nephews, brothers-in-law, I don't have brothers :sad1:) when I meet them, and I find they welcome it and return the intention. I've even kissed my boss (no, I'm not ass-kissing my way into a promotion, we're just coworkers who appreciate each other in their respective roles) in public on a Christmas party in front of all my colleagues, and he was quite pleased (straight guy!, and not afraid to do so in this setting). The Netherlands are a country where this is possible nowadays, and every sign that other parts of the world are gradually becoming a little more tolerant in this respect make my heart leap with joy!!

I think that the photo was about time and I give them a lot encourgement that if they can fight and die for the country they have a right to love who they are meant to love. I have served in the army a long time ago and I did not agree then that if you cared about a fellow man you where in trouble for it good for them.

May I ask if anyone for his unit complained, or are you just referring to the general malcontent that civilian religious nuts have towards the repeal of DADT?

fucking BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was happy to see that they can be very open in there lives. at least I know who's the bottom.

Spent 22 years in the U.S.N., most of that time as a corpsman with the U.S.M.C. Got news for you guys, Gay Marines were in the Military back since at least the 70's that I can attest to c pretty sure they were there before me.

I'm not gay, but it's glad to see gay people living their lives as any other person would do, without having to hide their feelings because of what people could think of them.
We all have the same right to love whoever we want!

I support LGBT rights!

Just don't have guys kissing each other in gay porn videos please. That is not where it belongs, and it disrupts my masturbation. If a guy wants to kiss his boyfriend, he should do it in the street, like this Marine did.
