CORRECTION
Turns out this was near Temple not Lampasas, very difficult to find info but a dude who lives in the area helped get the details straight. I apologize for the mistake. Shit happened August 30, not September 1 I stand corrected.
I have also found a link to a news story about the accident, dude was only 24.
