I'm a Southerner too and I agree with tjoftn. I don't think Meatpie is at all racist, just loves deflating the balloon of political correctness. As for Sambo, I think it was originally British for Indians (from the Subcontinent) as in the story Little Black Sambo (who turns the tiger to butter by running it in circles). Sambo was pretty smart. Story now banned, of course. As an American, I think we can take some criticism. (We are now in 3 wars, on the verge of bankruptcy and have an idiot as president; yep we deserve it). And I don't think Meatpie is anti-American at all.

I'm from the Southern United States and the RACE issue is a big issue here. The problem that most non-USA people have is that they are not exposed to POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, which I personally believe is a crock of shit myself.

Blacks here call each other the "N" word but swell like toads if a white person says it...

Political correctness has a time and place, like when you are at work and have to get along with everyone to keep your job! :-D And "blacks" do use the "N" word all the time themselves but do get upset when whites use it. Hardly seems fair now, does it? Maybe just a tad hypocritical? Hm? I'm not particularly bothered when straights use the word faggot, even though I'm gay. And given the interests of the guys on this site, does it seem just a little silly to get upset over someing as minor as a single word?

Couldn't agree more. The main topic of this site itself is offensive to most people. So whenever I found words that were used "carelessly" (and we know there are a lot...) I just took the parts I enjoy, and leave. We are from different parts of the world, and some parts don't know/care the concepts that are not connected to their lives. But it is a choice of our own to enjoy or leave, for good. I respect both, and also the ones who "say no". And as for meatpie, what should I say... I'm thankful for the forum.
