The new like button - powerful way to increase your reputation level quickly

This is something our users requested months ago - members can now click on a like button under every new thread and instantly add one point to the poster's reputation level!

A very powerful tool to show your appreciation for the top posters!

However there are limits to prevent abuse - users with low post count will only be able to use the lilke button several times a day after button becomes locked.

What does the "thanks" option do? Also increase rep, or is that a rep-neutral way of showing appreciation?

Like button adds 1 point to a poster's rep level.

If you like a post you can give reputation to users by clicking the small star under their profile.
