Good field execution of a Private by a NCO - not sure why ? Soldiers can still be summarily executed for treachery and cowardice in the Brit Army but hasn't been carried out for a long time I think the man being offed would cry out in pain and take longer to die.

Thanks lads - aye being shot or impaled in the chest or guts is a noisy longer death for a soldier, a shot to the head or beheading is quicker and usually silent. A good military death should be with a manly death cry, if the enemy soldier is taking too long to die he should be finished with a second shot or bayonetted to dispatch him.
