This 24 year old guy was run over by an inner city bus in the Philippine capital of Manila while crossing the road on his way to meet his friends at a local Fiesta. Witnesses told the Police and the local media that he was crossing the road while text messaging.
This pic was taken before Paramedics showed up, The Philippine National Police and the Authorities investigating the accident we're baffled when they found out that he sent text messages not to notify his family of the accident or to even ask for help, instead he sent messages to his friends saying he will be running late and asked them to get him some cigarettes. :damn wtf:

He was taken to Tondo General Hospital where he died 3 days later from complications caused by an infection.

The VICTORIA LINES bus driver was not charged, but the bus company decided to cover all funeral costs.

I know he's technically not dead in this pic, but the dumb sod did end up in a wooden box a few days later

OMG thats sad.. i had my internship at Tondo Gen Hospital.. everyday they got stabbing incident.

poor boy...

Hm I imagine he was in shock...sometimes when an accident happens a person they can't accept what just happened to them so they act like it didn't happen...

Either that or he was just frakin thick.

actually that's right... i'll go with the first option... maybe he was not in pain yet... cuz it sure looks painfull...

Do we have any confirmation that the story attached to this image is actually true? Because I have seen that picture before, floating around various gore threads and forums with different stories attached?

Victoria lines is one of the long-distance buses (Manila to Olongopo or Manila to Baguio) and is significantly better than many of the bus lines. Funny, texting in the Philippines only costs a peso (less than 2 cents) and that is where I started texting - got so I could text without looking at what I was doing.
