At about 06:45 o’clock in the evening of September 21, 2016, a concern citizen reported to RTR MPS that there was a shooting incident transpired at Purok 2, Brgy Poblacion 2, Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte wherein victimizing Jan Allen OcayaJunasa, male, jobless, 28 years old, single and a resident of same place. The said victim shot by unidentified suspects riding in tandem hitting on his head and different parts of his body using undetermined Caliber of firearms.
That upon receipt of the information, PNP Personnel of this station proceeded to the said area to verify the veracity of the report and found out that there were a wounded male person later Identified as Jan Allen Ocaya Junasa, male, jobless, 28 years old, single and a resident of same place lying in the canal beside the National Highway of aforesaid place. Thereafter the responding PNP elements Brought the victim to Cabadbaran City District Hospital for immediate medical treatment thereat, but unfortunately victim was pronounced dead by the attending physician
Investigation conducted by RTR MPS disclosed that prior to the incident, victim were seating at Tagalog barbecue stall beside National highway of the above mentioned place of incident when Two unidentified persons wearing helmet and white jacket while their faces covered with bonnet and riding a single motorcycle without plate number stopped thereat while the back rider immediately alighted from the motorcycle and without any provocation shoot the victim seven (7) times hitting on his head using unknown caliber of firearm/s.
Further, Assailants left marking stated (Pusher ko Ayaw ko Sundoga!! Kamo Nay Sunod), and fled away from the place of incident heading towards Butuan City area.
That, PNP personnel of this station immediately requested a SOCO team to further process the crime scene for proper documentations. While follow- up hot pursuit operation were being made to possibly identify and arrest the perpetrators and for filing appropriate charges in court as evidence may warrant.
Subject victim is a (BADAC) Barangay Anti-Illegal Drug Council watch list surrenderee and was listed in the drug watch list Street level Target number 19.
Recovered from the crime scene were one (3) pieces fired cartridge case of 9MM caliber pistol, (1) Piece fired cartridge case of .45 Caliber Pistol, (1) piece of .45 Cal. Pistol fired bullet and (1) piece 9mm cal. pistol fired bullet.
The lifeless body of the victim (Jan Allen Ocaya Junasa) is now at Solania Funeral Parlor, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.
The case is now in the process of depth investigation.
