I feel pretty bad for him... but seriously? landing gear? Don't these people realize why cabins are pressurized?

At high altitudes, given the lack of oxygen, level of pressure and extreme temperatures (cold), human organs shut down. He likely died on the plane's ascent.

Poor dude, very brave.

Happens quite often - there's a carpark in south London where bodies fall every so often - below the point where planes put their landing gear down on the flightpath into Heathrow.
Gives choice of three ways to die
- crushed by landing ger as it retracts after take-off
- killed by lack of oxygen and depressurisation
- hypothermia
