In the fourth picture down on the right in 1926, those two guys in front look really young. I wonder what the minimum age for beheading was in China at that time? Too bad for them!

In the past ,beheading is the preferred way of execution in many countries,China included.It was supposed to be painless, done properly with one swift stroke.Hehe

Yeah, I think it was also considered a dignified and honorable method to be executed that was used especially for land owners, powerful, wealthy and royalty. But if it was me I'd be a lot less nervous under the guillotine.
