Have you noticed that many of the departed have fancy coffins even though their families have moderate incomes? Funeral homes often rent the coffins. Many of the families can't even afford a burial. So after the funeral, the departed is cremated and the ashes disposed of. If the bones fragments are sifted out, the ashes make good fertilizer. I would hope that my dead corpse is put to such use.
