Today a young man was going to pay the ransom for his father was ultimately killed himself. This drama plays out daily in the state of Nuevo Leon. Last January 17th a man who owns a taxi company was kidnapped by a group of organized crime. After the kidnapping, the criminals asked the victim’s family for a ransom of 3 million pesos.
The son of the kidnapped person, a young man named Juan Gilberto Torres Zamarrón, with 3 million pesos in a bag, tried to pay his fathers ransom and gain his freedom. But the son did not know that his Father had been killed while trying to flee his captives. With the death of the Father, the criminals decided to detain the son and ask for another 1,000,000 Pesos ransom for him!
When relatives of Juan Gilberto Torres tried to negotiate the rescue of the young man a fight between the thugs holding the man hostage and a rival gang and one person was killed during the altercation-the young Juan Gilberto Torres Zamarrón.
His tragic story is summarized as someone who in a few days went from being the son of a kidnapped person, the payer of ransom, abducted, to witness a showdown and finally to one fatality killed by organized crime.
