Samuel Kanyon Doe was 21st President of Liberia, serving from 1986 until his assassination in 1990.

In 1990, Liberia switches in the civil war. Prince Johnson (Independent Front) and Charles Taylor (NPFL) are at the head of two rebel groups

Samuel Doe was captured by troops Yormic Johnson. He died under torture: the ears and fingers cut off, it is locked in a bathroom where he tried to flee through a window. The broken glass would have caused or aggravated a fatal brain haemorrhage. His body is then exposed naked in the streets of Monrovia

A video was filmed whose images shocked the world and will be broadcast for a few years in the countries of West Africa Particular, it shows Johnson drinking a beer while you tear an ear to Doe.
