I was honored to have Ron provide the art for the cover of my short story collection, Strip Him. Even though we never discussed the art work, he managed to capture the intensity of the stories in a stunning image. Greasetank was a brilliant site.

I was Greasetank's story editor for the last couple of years it existed. He and I were in touch quite a bit during that time, both by phone and email. And yes, the site wasn't closed due to legal issues--quite simply, it took many hours a week to maintain and Ron was tired. He could feel himself constantly getting weaker and he saw death coming.

Interestingly, his last project, which occupied the last two years of his life, was writing and illustrating a children's book about a dog named Longfellow; he finished the book but unfortunately couldn't find a suitable publisher.

Halfway through the book, Longfellow's owner dies.

Ron had named his own dog Longfellow.

TallBlond1,

You did a excellent job as a story editor.
The Grease Tank stories and site have influenced me a lot and my writing style of erotic fiction.
I thank you and all those involved with Grease Tank.
It was a very special site and I will always remember it fondly.

ps:- Is there anyway of getting the stories published in a book format, as I from time to time get withdrawal symptoms to re-read those stories once again.

it was a terrific site, artistic, erotic, on the edge. I had the great honor of having Ron do the cover art for my short story collection, Strip Him. you can see it on amazon...I write as will scott.....wish Ron would come back to continue his great art.

Will Scott,
Thank you very much for the link to the book, much appreciated.
Thank you very much for Grease Tank.

Because "Twisted Tales From The Tank" and "Beyond Twisted" are comprised of stories I wrote for Grease Tank under the name Steve Geary, I cannot in good conscience recommend them: fearful of who-knows-what, the publisher had me extensively dilute them so that sex and snuff never happened at the same time, oftentimes even if the two merely happened within the same scene. If you'd like the full, unabridged versions, just do a "Steve Geary" search here on CDG. I've put a good dozen or more of the stories here on the site, where you can read them the way they were meant to be read, and for free.

Just now did a search on Amazon. Both of those watered-down, censored collections of my stories are now going for anywhere between $99 (used) and $479 (new) apiece!

Most of the stories don't include the great artwork by Mike Carcel and Greasetank himself. Take my word for it, guys, as the author--anyone who pays that amount is vainly trying to recapture the feeling he got from perusing the old Grease Tank site, which is gone forever.

I kid you not, the purchaser will be disappointed. THESE WATERED DOWN PAPERBACK VERSIONS ARE NOT WORTH IT.

TallBlond1,

Thank you for the warning.

I seriously was going to buy them.
