Former Wales captain Gary Speed hangs himself in Cheshire

The world of football was in shock today after Wales manager Gary Speed was found hanged at his home in Cheshire.

The former Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle and Bolton star, who appeared on BBC's Football Focus show yesterday, was aged 42.


Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, which is thought to be suicide. He leaves his wife Louise and two sons.

Gary was tall and very fit, no doubt he is now a beautiful corpse laid out stark naked on a morgue table. Autopsy photos will never be released.

Wow, doesn't make any sense, but he might have gotten horrible medical news or his wife was cheating. Guess we'll never know

It's really sad that living can be so horrible that you feel there is no other choice than to end it. I wonder if it has anything to do with sexuality.We'll never know unfortunately, but someone in the public light may be sophisticated enough to leave a suicide note perhaps.

oscarM, yeah there's plenty of great pics of him just google 'gary speed'. Apparently he hung himself, and I wouldn't bet that 'we'll never know' why. The tabloid press are pretty good at ferreting out something like this.
