Father Murders his Three Kids in Bed

Three children between two and six have been found dead in their Mexican home, murdered by their father according to police.

No further details were given.

I want to know if they gave the father a life in prison....if this was in the US they would probably execute him.

Unfortunately no details were given apart from the fact that the police caught him.

I wish I knew what made the father do that, I can only assume maybe he's stressed out because he can no longer feed them due to his unemployment. Some people can be insane enough to do that.

Unemployment can hardly be a reason to kill all your kids, you have to be really insane to be able to do something like that.

What is even more sad is that we had a similar case here in my country a few weeks ago, and a couple of years ago a woman strangled her kid in the park and the left the dead body on a bench for everyone to see.

She was declared mentally insane and released.

That's why crazy ppl should be locked up somewhere, because they're just immune to the law, making them even scarier than serial killers..

Yeah, not only unemployment, but also the level of insanity of the suspect. In my country here, there's a person who killed his own child because God told him to, amazing, isn't it?

I think he was released just like the woman you mentioned, but the community where he lived despised him for what he did.

And for a good reason. What do you think is the best way to deal with such people - execution or mental clinic?

How can such senseless crime be prevented? Can it be prevented at all?

Probably mental clinic, it's just like a prison, for insane ppl

If we know that a certain individual's starting to say and do insane things then perhaps it can be prevented by taking him/her to doctor for mental treatment, unfortunately a treatment for mental disorder is not cheap. And cases like this often happens among poor people. Besides, mental disease/disorder is really under appreciated, ppl still consider you healthy as long as there's no blood coming out from your body

The woman that I told you about - strangled her 5-year-old son more than ten years ago was treated in a mental hospital in Sofia, they showed her again on TV recently - she looks normal and even has a job.

So I agree with you - mental hospital - > treatment is the only right way to go but in most cases mental illness is not recognized until bad things happen

Yeah... even in the bible there is a story very similar to this one... humans have something in our brains that really make us all be fucked up... (i truly think the astronaut alien theory has to do something with this... anyone knows about it?)

I think the guy was the stepfather of those children, or he just realized they were not their kids, so his wife had extra marital relationships with someone else for years, then one day he realizes about that and the rest of the story makes sense... In wildlife, among lion specially that is a very common behavior.

I think unemployment and not having money could be another reason. In south America those two hypothesis are very common and feasible... so I see those things every now and then. Occasionally, even the mother or the father commits suicide as well.
