Sofia. 34-year-old sergeant Svilen Simeonov is among the four French troops killed in Afghanistan, FOCUS News Agency learned.
The news was confirmed by the French Foreign Legion.
On the morning of Jan. 20 Simeonov and the other three French troops were shot dead by a man wearing a uniform of the Afghan military forces in the Tagap district of Afghanistan’s Kapisa province. Another 15 French troops were injured during the shooting. The identity of the Bulgarian sergeant was confirmed by Theatrum Belli, L'Express, Alsace and others
