Vigilante justice in Brazil

Residents of a small Brazilian town have taken justice into their own hands after a series of brutal street muggings last week.

The robber was caught in the act trying to steal from a pregnant woman who screamed for help.

Locals tied him up barefoot and beat and kicked him hard on the street in one of many vigilante incidents in Brazil so far this year.

"We have to teach him a lesson," residents told reporters who were on the scene and took photos.

I have meet a couple of Brazilians, they are very nice down to earth people.

Not surprised happens in Brasil as they have this strong community spirit.
