Apparently these dudes didn't hear it coming. Then again, perhaps they did:

I think it's unlikely two adult males would commit train suicide together (unless they were bundt buddies). Therefore, I'd rule this one an accident. I read something recently about train drivers being permitted to retire early with pension if they have had to endure the presumed psychological trauma of colliding with people on the tracks three times. I wonder if this incident, knocking off two at once, would count as one or two hits toward early retirement.

Well, they were two separate pics, Alex. If there were two bodies on the same track, I'd go into cardiac arrest laughing. (Sick, perhaps, but that's me!)

Yes, I did see that there were two pics, but it seems I once again failed to comprehend what I was looking at. I went back to the pics for another look-see, and now I think I understand. There is one man cut in half in the first pic and a DIFFERENT man cut in half in the second pic. I had thought I was looking at the top half of one guy and the bottom half of the other in the first pic, and in the second pic the OTHER halves of the SAME men (fallen to the ground below the railroad bridge in the first pic). Please excuse my confusion -- I am just dizzy with death.

HAHA...the plot thickens! Ukon, I'm glad you added your impressions after looking at the pics with fresh eyes. I truly don't know WHAT to think now.

Exactly, the first pic has the top half of one squished dude, along with another one hanging over the railroad tie in the background. Don't know if he has legs or not because that part of the picture is blocked. Don't even know if he's alive.

That first pic is really intriguing. Two men killed by one train? The first is obviously run over, but the second?
If that's the train driver, sick and tired of all those attention seeking suicidals,
(there are less conspicuous ways of doing yourself in than making a trainful of commuters miss all their appointments for the day)
I wouldn't be surprised.
Dutch train drivers encounter jumpers every week and get a standard leave if it happens to them.

Young man: suicide on the train tracks.
Maybe now he is living in another reality with better feelings.
