I've uploaded and posted pics to other sites with no problem but can't get the hang of it here. I've tried posting as a new thread and replying to an existing one. I've tried inserting an image in the message and adding as an attachment. In all cases the image seems to upload but the window stays open even after half an hour and nothing happens and the image isn't inserted. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Many of us use Imagebam - its easy to use - its free and is reasonably robust - the link is here :

If you wish to use it - Register for a free acount - choose the multi-upload tab - point it at the directory with your images select your batch of images - you need to ensure you also select the 'type' - ALWAYS choose adult - then hit the upload button. When it completes simply copy the line marked BB code into your post, and all the thumbnails will appear in your post - and when we click on them, the full size image opens up.

Its much easier than it sounds!!! and it does work well.

I figured out the problem. The file size of the pics I was trying to upload was much too big. I reduced the file size and had no problem uploading them directly here. Obviously, the quality isn't as good.
