Oh, man, there's definitely such a thing as being too butch:

when he was bitten by a snake...[he] believed that it was just a non-venomous python snake and so just picked it up and threw it back into the bushes.

If he had screamed like a little girl and run away like any sensible person would have done, he'd still be here.
