24 year old Olympic marathon gold medalist Sammy Wanjiru died in a fall from a first floor balcony (or second floor for Americans). It's a mystery how such a short fall could result in his death. Apparently his wife returned home when he was in bed with another woman.
It does not take much of a fall if you land the right way to kill you. Maybe he should have been thinking with the upper of his two heads before stepping out on his wife. If you are going to still play the field, why get married in the first place? It makes no sense to me. All of the effort expended in scheming and sneaking around when you are trying to have a clandestine rendezvous is not worth the costs; especially when one thinks that they are invincible and can easily manage something that is and does prove to be possibly, potentially and actually fatal. But he was probably under the pretext that he was worth his weight in gold, not including his Olympic medal, and was above the trappings of normal society and common folk. It is a shame for we will never get to see, like so many others who fall victim to the corruptive forces of fame and its associated power, his and/or their full potential as members of society with a gift not bestowed on others.
