The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. public library at San Jose State University was shut down for the day after a person died from an apparent six-story fall inside the building’s atrium back in 2016.

I'm surprised I don't remember this. It would certainly have made national news. Committing this act in a library named after an African-American may have been his way of making a racist statement. Can you imagine how CROWDED this library would have been on the day it reopened? Everyone wanting to see firsthand the spot where the body went SPLAT.

i believe the over due book fee was too high:) :) :)

How do they know it was suicide? Did he leave a note? Maybe it was a case of vertigo from looking down at the drop.

They won't have liked that - libraries are meant to be QUIET places.

And spattering blood on the books - that's a serious no-no.

The Cincinnati Public Library is looking for a jumper to promote its Reading is FUNdamental campaign. Tryouts well be held every Wednesday on the upper level...
