FBI kill Ibragim Todashev, 27 friend of Boston Bomber

An FBI agent fatally shot a Chechen man in Orlando, Florida early Wednesday during questioning related to the Boston Marathon marathon bombings.

The deceased is 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev, who has been living in the U.S. since 2008.

The shooting happened just after midnight Wednesday at Todashev's apartment complex near Universal studios.

Former FBI assistant director John Miller, who now works for CBS News, said the FBI was questioning Todashev at his apartment over his ties to Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev when 'something went wrong.'

The suspect reportedly turned violent and attacked the agent, who then fired his weapon and killed Todashev.

'The agent encountered the suspect while conducting official duties,' Couvertier said. 'We do not have any further details at this time. We expect to have more information later this morning.'
