Car crashes into Western Australian two storey home rendering the site structurally unsafe, no deaths, 46 year old woman driver in hospital

She must have been wasted, had a male passenger who also ended up in hospital, still waiting for more details.

Days of historic heat in southern California came to a spectacular end on Wednesday with thunderstorms, lightening and huge rainbow.
Rain fell steadily in downtown Los Angeles yesterday afternoon as dramatic storm clouds formed over the region, only two days after the highest ever temperatures were recorded.
At the start of the week thermometers hit an astonishing 113F (45C) - beating the previous record set 20 years ago.

Photographer captures the moment a passenger plane flies across the Moon

Photographer Christopher Tomas managed to snap a passenger plane as it crossed the moon.
The technically tricky image was taken on the Blackbutt range in Queensland, Australia where he lives.
He observed the airplane flying overhead for months before he managed to get his shot on September 16.

One million shoppers flock to London's Oxford Street

This was the scene yesterday at London's most famous shopping street...some estimates say one million people a day flock to Oxford street every year around Christmas.

It was the same last year.

A woman survived throwing herself from the 23rd storey of a Buenos Aires hotel when a waiting taxi broke her fall.
She landed in a sitting position on the driver's side of the car - just moments after the cabbie had got out of his vehicle.

The impact deeply dented roof and shattered the windscreen.
The 30-year-old woman suffered multiple injuries and was being treated in hospital.

The taxi driver, who gave his name as Miguel, said he saw a policeman looking up and that prompted him to get out just before the driver's side of the car was smashed by the woman's body.

Another taxi driver, Juan Carlos Candame said that he saw the woman climb over a barrier and jump.

The woman fell from the top of the Hotel Crown Plaza Panamericano, where a restaurant overlooks the landmark Obelisk in central Buenos Aires.
