Counsellor Found Dead - Mouth Padlocked, Hands and Feet Chopped Off​

Happened in Uruburetama, Ceará, Brazil in the last days of June.

36-year-old Gilson who had worked as a child protection counsellor was found dead on a dirt road. His hands and feet had been amputated, and his mouth was forced shut by a padlock. One of his hands was also placed near his mouth, in a 'shushing' position.

Gilson had not reported any threats or disagreements, and was well-liked in the region.
